SRH Berlin and LLP/ERASMUS

SRH University of Applied Sciences Berlin has participated in the LLP/Erasmus Programmes since 2006 and has signed the Erasmus University Charter.

At SRH Berlin, we support student exchange programmes and encourage all of our students to consider an ERASMUS exchange. This means we offer the possibility for students to go abroad, gain valuable skills, and experience life as an international student.

LLP Programme

With a budget of nearly €7 billion for 2007 to 2012, the LLP programme funds a range of actions including exchanges, study visits and networking activities. Projects are intended not only for individual students and learners, but also for teachers, trainers, and all others involved in education and training.

There are four sub-programmes which fund projects at different levels of education training: Comenius (for high schools), ERASMUS (for higher education), Leonardo da Vinci (for vocational education and training), and Grundtvig (for adult education).

You can find more information regarding LLP programmes on the European Commission website.

Central ERASMUS mobility measures (multilateral projects, academic networks, accompanying measures) are managed by the executive agency of the European Commission in Brussels. Further information can be found here.

ERASMUS

The university programme ERASMUS, one of the great success stories of the EU, has aided the transnational mobility of students as well as university lecturers and staff since 1987. To date, approximately 2 million students and almost 200,000 lecturers have spent time abroad with this programme.

The following European countries participate in ERASMUS: the 27 EU countries, Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway, and Turkey, as well as Croatia and Switzerland starting in the academic year 2011/2012.

Under the framework of the EU educational program for Lifelong Learning (2007-2013), the following areas are supported:

  • students studying abroad
  • students doing an internship abroad
  • teaching abroad
  • staff working abroad
  • intensive programs
  • linguistic preparation

Students with Special Needs

Students with special needs may receive an ERASMUS grant is higher than the normal study or placement grant to offset the specific difficulties with which you are faced (such as physical access and the organisation and content of teaching). This applies to all mobility programmes (student, work placement, teaching, and training mobility) as well as for preparatory and intensive language programmes.
