How many learning desks offers the library?
The SRH Library provides students with an study environment equipped with ten desks.
When and how my inquiries will be answered?
During library opening hours our staff will be happy to assist you in-person or by e-mail or phone with any inquiries regarding research and information. Making sure that you have found the information you need is of the most importance.
How do I get a library card?
All members of SRH Hochschule Berlin are able to register for a library card.
Students must also provide their student ID when registering. Staff must provide their identity card.
How can I borrow and renew media?
Books and other printed material can be borrowed for a standard duration of one week. During writing of theses the loan period is four weeks.
Media reserved for on-campus use only (reference books, hand books, limited editions) can be borrowed for no longer than one day and must be returned before the library closes.
Which rules has the library?
The Library Regulations determine the legal relationship between the university library and our users.
When and how do I use the interlibrary loan?
Sources that are not accessible via the SRH or TU Libraries can be ordered via interlibrary loan. This service enables the exchange of media between various libraries throughout Germany.
To order books and articles use the platform of the Kooperativen Bibliotheksverbund Berlin-Brandenburg (KOBV).
Before ordering journal articles it is recommended to first search the journal title in the Zeitschriftendatenbank (ZDB).
What are handsets and how do I use them?
Professors and lecturers will often place course material on reserve in the library. These sources cannot be borrowed or removed from the library and may typically only be used for specified lengths of time.
Copies of reserve material can be used in exchange for SRH Library Card or Student ID as a deposit.
With which libraries cooperates the library?
University Libraries of the Technical University Berlin
Cooperation between the SRH Hochschule Berlin Library and the TU Berlin Libraries offers students and staff the use of the following services:
- Free library card for SRH students.
- Use of all printed media (except for TU textbook collection) and electronic resources.
- Improvement of research skills with courses offered at TU.
- Teaching staff can use the TU interlibrary loan via the SRH Library.

Which media can I use in the PC pool?
In room S.005, next to the library, you have the possibility to work at six computerized workstations. Use the internet, office software and our online resources:

- Photon International
- Sun & Wind Energy
- The Economist Online
If the door is locked, please contact the library staff in room S.006. If necessary, we unlock the electronic resources for you.

Which newspapers offers the university?
The SRH Library keeps a subscription to a number of local and international newspapers to ensure that students and staff of SRH Hochschule Berlin have access to the latest news regarding economy and society. Newspapers can be found in the entrance areas of our university buildings.
