Project 5 - Information Systems Management

Title:

Web-based services in the public health sector – requirements, concept, and prototypical development (currently in the planning stage)

Description:

The objective of this project is to research how effective web-based software services can be used in the health care sector. Based on systematic recording and the analysis of requirements (user, consumer and provider), concepts with a high beneficial potential are identified and rated concerning their economical and technical realization. In close collaboration with our project partners, certain web-based services and concepts of service market places are elaborated in detail and in the form of business plans. Due to the consideration of user, customer and provider requirements at an early stage, we are able to drastically increase the quality of business plans and prototypical implementation. Overall, this may result in a competitive advantage for both, the provider and the consumer of web-based services. Based on the successive determination of research results, a software prototype is developed for application in the health care sector.
