Research Activities

Research Award

The presidential board of the university honors outstanding research performance with the annual research prize of the SRH Hochschule Berlin.

Selection of the award winner is compromised of the following evaluation criteria:

  • Level 1: Publication achievements
  • Level 2: External research grants
  • Level 3: Outstanding research achievements, e.g. significant articles, etc.

Prize: Certificate and EUR 3,000 for student assistants 

In 2016, Prof. Dr. Alexander Wulf received the SRH Hochschule Berlin Research Award. He has been awarded for the acquisition of external funding and his distinguished publications.

Doctoral Colloquium

Support of young scientists is one of the key aspects within the scope of research. Research associates are enabled to complete their doctorate in the course of their work at SRH Hochschule Berlin.

  • Granting one research day a week
  • Doctoral colloquiums
  • Fostering further qualification

Research reports

Applied research is an important part of the work of SRH Hochschule Berlin. Active participation in research projects assists academics to work with the latest developments in their fields and provide students with the most up-to-date knowledge. SRH Hochschule Berlin publishes information regarding research activities, foci and areas of concentration of professors in the annual research report.

Coming up

21 - 22 October 2016: SRH professors Bert Eichhorn (Vice President for International Affairs and Vladimir Stantchev (executive director of the Institute of Information Systems) are co-organizers and members of the program board of the Joint International Conference "Economic Challenges: Migration, Globalization, Sustainability, Policies" in Sofia, Bulgaria.

23 November 2016: Prof. Dr. Christina Stecker will be keynote speaker at a conference on the future of work. The conference is organized by the IAA (Institut für Arbeitsforschung und Arbeitspolitik) at the LIMAK Austrian Business School in Linz (Austria).
