Corporate matters, International Management M.A.
Career Opportunities
Our Master's Degree prepares students for a management career, for example as a project manager, contract manager, or an interdepartmental risk manager. Our graduates are well equipped to start their own business or to join a family business. The course is designed to provide constant interaction with companies regarding various projects.
Upon graduation, you will have two years of business experience on your CV with which to enter the job market or to further develop your academic career. This dramatically improves your chances in the professional labor market. The project-based Master's Degree opens doors to demanding executive positions in general management, risk management, project management and contract management.
Company Projects
Genuine company projects are assigned to our Berlin programme students throughout their four semesters. Our aim is to provide students with realistic and increasingly more challenging corporate tasks.
In our company projects, students create and implement corporate business solutions. Students gain insight into the challenges of entrepreneurial business and experience for their future careers.
Cooperating business partners profit from the fresh perspective of our students and having involved participants in their projects. Through intensive guidance by our lecturers, corporate representatives obtain professional solutions inspired by the newest business knowledge.
E-commerce is embraced with enthusiasm by our students, who publish their finished company projects on-line via our partner platform, Electronic Business Forum. Click on the EBF logo to see an example of an SRH company project by one of our graduates!
Company Project I
Corporate Assignments and Processes teach the student the key functions and assignments (tasks) of a company. In cooperation with selected companies the responsible tutor will establish a programme for the students providing them with a structured and holistic knowledge of entrepreneurial assignments, functions, processes, risks and problems.
Company Project II
Application of Acquired Methods within the company enables the students to apply the methods and tools acquired by Company Project I. Based on the fundamental entrepreneurial business model, (e.g. market, product, financing, communication and distribution) corporate key problems are solved by means of the acquired tools and methods in lectures and in the previous projects.
Company Project III
Applied within the company, this project conveys to you current application-oriented research assignments and processes within the company. You will actively take part in the research work of SRH University Berlin and gain insight into the research scene and research methods. The application of research to entrepreneurial practice is practiced and perfected.
Internship
For your fourth semester internship we urge you to visit Absolvent.de, our academic partner platform used by increasing numbers of national and international companies. Absolvent is updated daily, and is specially developed to support internships.
The Master's Internship serves as preparation for a professional career. Newly acquired knowledge and proficiencies are employed in an application-oriented manner. Networks are formed with companies and partners, which will aid future employment prospects. Ideally there is a synergy between the Master's Internship, Company Projects, and the Master's Thesis.
We maintain a cooperation with Technische Universität Berlin; Universität der Künste Berlin, and Weissensee Künst-Hochschule Berlin. Funding for Erasmus internships outside of Germany is possible via this cooperative effort.
Master's Thesis
Frequently integrated directly with the internship, the Master's thesis allows each student to pull together all areas of knowledge and work experience into a professional document ready for presentation and publication. The Colloquium in the fourth semester enables students to formulate and focus nascent ideas into a coherent, cohesive, relevant academic document.
