Inauguration of the Grenke Centre for Entrepreneurial Studies
SRH Hochschule Berlin has opened a new institute that aims to foster research in the area of entrepreneurship
The two chairmen Wolfgang Grenke, CEO of GRENKE AG and committed supporter of SRH Hochschule Berlin, and Christof Hettich, CEO of SRH, met yesterday to open the new research institute at the SRH Start-up Lab.
"Berlin attracts young founders from all over the world. In order for them to be successful, we need to find out more about how to start a business, "says CEO Prof. Dr. Ing. Christof Hettich. He thanked Wolfgang Grenke for his commitment to sponsor the institute. By supporting the new research institute, Mr Grenke is sharing his own entrepreneurial success with a new generation of founders.
The aim of the GRENKE CENTRE is to strengthen entrepreneurial research, and to enhance the science-based teaching at our universtiy. In addition, it will promote the transfer of academic findings into real Business practice and thus will help start-ups to grow.
Prof. Dr. André Presse, Head of the new research institute and Professor of Entrepreneurship, thanked the members of the advisory board for their commitment. The board includes Wolfgang Grenke, Götz Werner (founder of dm), Dominik Wörner (co-founder of insights DE) and Dr. Ali Mostashari from the health start-up lifeNome in New York.
SRH Hochschule Berlin is constantly expanding its entrepreneurship activities. The university supports founders in the Entrepreneurship study programme and offers them a space to work in and to get Inspiration from - the SRH Start-up Lab Berlin. In the near future founders will also benefit from the GRENKE CENTRE's cutting-edge research findings and real business cases.
