Institute of Information Systems (IIS)
Optimisation of business processes and redesign of organisational structures are main goals for information systems. To meet these requirements, the Institute of Information Systems at the SRH Hochschule Berlin provides expertise in the fields of IT Governance, Information Management and Innovation Management as well as the future trends Cloud Computing, E-Business, Social Media and Cooperation Networks.
Within our research projects the Insitute of Information Systems shapes two of the fields of action within the research cluster of the SRH Hochschule Berlin – Healthcare Management and Information Systems Management.
Implementation of research into teaching
Latest research results of the department will be discussed and evaluated together with students. Single issues will be elaborated in the course of a Bachelor's or Master's Thesis, whereas major scientific issues will be elaborated within Ph.D. programs and together with partner universities. The Institute of Information Systems is responisble for the degree programmes Business Information Systems (B.A.) and Computer Science, focus on Cybersecurity (M. Sc.).
Implementation of research into practice
Regional SME can profit from events and congresses to various topics like RFID or system simulation. Moreover, the Institute of Information Systems collaborate with regional groups from the Gesellschaft für Informatik (GI e.V.), the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), BITKOM e.V. and eco e.V.
